US Navy photo Aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73) arrived Thursday in Da Nang, Vietnam for a port visit, according to ship spotters. The carrier and its escorts are conducting their first patrol of 2026. The strike group includes the aircraft carrier with embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, cruiser USS Robert Smalls (CG-62) and destroyers USS Benfold (DDG-65) and USS Shoup (DDG-86).

In the South China Sea

In Singapore

Littoral Combat Ships USS Canberra (LCS-30) and USS Tulsa (LCS-16), both homeported in Manama, Bahrain, are in port in Singapore.

In the Hawaiian Operating Areas

US Navy photo Aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) arrived Tuesday and departed Saturday from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, according to ship spotters. Amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD-2) arrived Wednesday in Pearl Harbor, according to ship spotters. Both ships participated in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026 exercise.

In Panama

In the Caribbean

Littoral Combat Ship USS Billings (LCS-15) and USS Cooperstown (LCS-23) are operating in the Central Caribbean Sea. Both Freedom-class LCSs are based at Naval Station Mayport, Fla.

The 24th MEU is operating in the region and will be spread throughout the region instead of deploying with an Amphibious Ready Group.

US Navy photo Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG-103) returned Friday to Naval Station Norfolk, Va., following a six-month deployment that took the destroyer to the 4th, 5th and 6th fleets.

Aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) returned Monday to Norfolk, Va., according to ship spotters.

Amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) departed Tuesday and returned Wednesday to Norfolk, according to ship spotters.
