USNI News Fleet and Marine Tracker: Aug. 10, 2026

In cases in which a CSG or ARG is conducting disaggregated operations, the chart reflects the location of the capital ship.

In Sasebo, Japan

Tripoli was the flagship of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group, which also included amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD-47), amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans (LPD-18) and the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The patrol saw the ARG sail to U.S. 5th Fleet and U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. Tripoli returned to CFAS on July 27, Rushmore returned on July 28, and New Orleans returned Aug. 3.

In the South China Sea

US Navy photo Aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73) is in the South China Sea. The carrier and its escorts are conducting their first patrol of 2026. The strike group includes the aircraft carrier with embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, cruiser USS Robert Smalls (CG-62) and destroyers USS Benfold(DDG-65) and USS Shoup (DDG-86).

In Singapore

Littoral Combat Ships USS Canberra (LCS-30) and USS Tulsa (LCS-16), both homeported in Manama, Bahrain, are in port in Singapore.

In the Eastern Pacific

The 24th MEU is operating in the region as Littoral Combat Force 24 and will be spread throughout the region instead of deploying with an Amphibious Ready Group.

In the Mediterranean Sea

Aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) arrived Thursday in San Diego and was underway for the day on Saturday for a friends and family cruise.
