Rockland Recreation Area Boat Launching Ramp improvements begin Aug. 16
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District will temporarily close the Rockland Recreation Day Use Area boat ramp and parking lot on Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, Tennessee, for repaving. Part of ongoing recovery efforts from a December 2023 tornado, the facility will close Aug. 16-21 and Aug. 23-24. Boaters may use alternative ramps at Walton Ferry, Mallard Point and Sanders Ferry Park while crews mill, pave and stripe the lot.
