Posthumous Purple Heart Awarded to Korean War Army Veteran

More than seven decades after he was wounded on a Korean battlefield, U.S. Army Cpl. Daniel A. Caballero was formally awarded the Purple Heart during a ceremony Aug. 11, bringing long-overdue recognition to a Soldier whose service spanned front-line combat, medical recovery and one of the war’s most solemn missions.
