MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) are rapidly changing how the U.S. Marine Corps fights and trains. As technology evolves over time, so does the need for training Marines in their technical military occupation specialties. In elevated awareness of technology in modern conflict, Marine division and expeditionary units are continuing to expand training opportunities to equip commissioned and enlisted Marines with sUAS capabilities. In combat scenarios, Marines can deploy these drones to execute tactical strikes, view hazardous environments and document training.
