403rd Wing Development and Training Flight prepares future Airmen for success
The 403rd Wing’s Development and Training Flight (D&TF) at Keesler Air Force Base is preparing the next generation of Air Force Reserve recruits for the rigors of Basic Military Training (BMT). Led by the new flight coordinator, Master Sgt. Jamekia Whitehead, the program bridges the gap between civilian life and military service by teaching trainees essential military fundamentals, customs and courtesies, physical fitness, and the teamwork required of operational Citizen Airmen. Trainees, such as New Orleans native Eric Brignac, credit the program with removing the guesswork from the transition and building the confidence needed to succeed at BMT and beyond.
